From: Catherine Elizabeth Sandland (nee Mitchell)
Message: Haven't looked at this site for years. Still amazed at number of Sandlands the world round!  Up date on the Cheshire Sandlands. Colin Sandland ( my husband, Richard's, father) died in 1997. Alf Sandland ( Colin's father) from Crewe and Nantwich died in 2004. Remaining Sandlands in my bit of the family are Richard ( born 1965), Deborah Anderson - Richard's sister ( 1968). Our son Matthew(1998) and Deborah's sons Jack Anderson ( 1997) and Joshua ( 2000). Alf's widow Phyllis still lives in Crewe and Colin's widow( Barbara) lives in Nantwich.  Colin's sister Jennifer lives in the Crewe area and has 2 children and 5 grandchildren.  Thanks for a great site.  Keep up the good work.  Note new email.

From: Celin and Suzann Sandland
Message: Thank you for an interesting website! We are two sisters from Oslo, Norway, daughters of Aasmund Sandland (son of Olav Sandland), and we always thought our name came from Telemark (a Norwegian county). Few of our family members had any idea it really origins from the UK. Does anyone have any information about historic records regarding the name's immigration to Norway?  413 people are currently registrated with the surname Sandland in Norway. Kindest Regards.

From: Don Rogers
Message: Researching Sandland family in Lichfield, Staffordshire. Earliest member so far is John Sandland - born about 1753 in Lichfield. I am a descendent of John Sandland who married Esther Allen on 11 October 1778 at St Mary's Church, Lichfield, Staffordshire. The Sandlands were blacksmiths in Lichfield for many years. The most recent Sandland in my line was Sarah Sandland who married William Matthews at Wall, near Lichfield in 1863. They were my great grandparents. If you think that you are connected, please get in touch.

Message: Hi, I am Lindy, daughter of Jessie Sandland who originated from Aston, Birmingham.  Her father, my grandfather, was Fred Sandland, a glass cutter, who married Sarah Allan. He was 21 at the time of the 1901 census.  He had a brother Ernest, who was killed in WW1 in France in 1917. He also had an unmarried sister, Amy. Fred's parents, my Great Grandparents, were John and Emma Sandland also from Aston in Birmingham.  Am hoping to tie up my family tree so if anyone can help, please get in touch.
