Nantwich - Facilities for
Visitors |
|
|
. |
|
|
The visitor
will find historic inns offering a warm welcome,
fine restaurants and cosy cafes with good food. A
variety of accommodation is available from
friendly bed and breakfast establishments to
pubs, farmhouses, hotels and a caravan/camping
park.
Nantwich is a pleasant and relaxing base from which
to visit the many interesting attractions within the town and the
surrounding countryside of South Cheshire.

Maybe you would like to visit
the museum or the market place or just sit and laze around in the
town square and watch all the people go by. The Cocoa Yard area is
an extremely pleasing area and well worth browsing around. Nantwich's open air natural brine
swimming pool (open summertime only) combined
with a heated indoor pool provides an all year
round swimming facility.
Don't miss
the ice cream delights at
Snugbury's Ice Cream Farm (I never do).
American ice cream manufactured from cream and Jersey milk with whole
fruit, crunchy nuts and chocolate flakes. A treat for
kids of all ages!!! Guided tours are also available. Snugbury's is
located just outside Nantwich on the Chester road but the ice cream is
sold in various places in the town.

by the Weaver bridge traffic lights. Coffee and wine bar. |
A good variety of value
for money snack and light meal foods. A real nice continental
coffee bar decor. Best in town. Order at the counter -

cleanliness and a good friendly atmosphere. Good quality
wine bar in the evenings/night. |

Bar and Restaurant. |
This is the place in town for a full restaurant type meal. Good
food cooked and presented well. Waitress/waiter service. Nice
atmosphere and friendly people. Enjoy a drink in the bar
before or after your meal. |
| The Rising Sun - about 2 miles east of the town
on the Middlewich Road - Country Pub and Restaurant. Own
car park. |
A great eating place with
a variety of value for money foods. Excellent old English
ambience and decor. Order at the bar - waitress/waiter service.

Farm House (Beefeater)
- about 2.5 miles east of Nantwich on the Middlewich Road (past
the Rising Sun above) - Pub, Restaurant and Travel Inn Hotel.
Plenty of parking. |
Excellent eating place with good value for money bar and
restaurant meals. Good atmosphere and friendly service -
waitress/waiter service in the restaurant. Pub and restaurant
decor is in old-worldly rural theme which adds nice character to
the place. If eating in restaurant, it may be prudent to book at
