Not sure if anyone can
help. I was born March 1959 and subsequently adopted. All I know
is that my natural mother had a boyfriend in the REME and she
lived in Ripon. Her surname was Kevan, her brother Derek was a
footballer. I am sure that if my natural father is still alive he
has no idea that I exist but as age is passing by I would love to
learn about him if possible. Thank you.

Recently photographs
have been taken for me of the entrance to Arow Street from
Monkey's Cave which can just be seen on the left hand side. This
leads to where our instrument workshop was situated and pictures
show it's situation now. Would anyone who worked in this
instrument workshop in 1952/54 please contact me.
You can see the page relating to this on my website.

I am looking for
anyone who knew my father in the army. He was a Vehicle Mechanic,
but acted as a Recovery Mechanic whilst in Korea. He was also a
projectionist in his spare time. At some point he was also
promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal. My father was a grammar
school boy and came from the North East. I would like to hear from
anyone who knew him back then.

As a child I can
remember seeing pictures of my late father in Egypt wearing a Fez
with a group of other soldiers. Unfortunately, a member of the
family threw them away and I would love to be able to show them to
my son and Grand daughter. Also, he was on a troop ship, which was
torpedoed and he was in the water for 24 hours. My son has
Father's watch which he was wearing at the time. Is there anyone
with similar pictures or has a relative who might remember Les
Berry. He also contracted recurring malaria while in Sicily and
was in the desert and Tripoli. A cousin has told me that she
thought he was also in Burma? It's a long shot I know but I would
love to hear from anyone who has memories of those days. Tel.
01461 337278.
