Sunday December 4th 2005

From: John Travers
Subject: Reccy Mechs
Message: Any Reccy Mechs out there that were with 4 RHA in Hohne just before they went to Hong Kong as 7RHA para's? I am trying to find a friend but I can not remember his name, I was attached to 4RHA with the signals and we ran the garrison signal centre - I spent a holiday with him in Hong Kong in 1963. One of his favourite jobs was to have to recover from the swimming pool (usually about 3am on a Sunday morn) the cannon that used to be bolted down outside one of the Bty HQ's. I think it belonged to Mercer Troop. Happy days ex NS. I would like to make contact.
