Message: My Dad is now 75 and did his national service in the REME.  He won cups for shooting. Which my Gran threw out. Does any one know if records are kept.  He seems to think that his name was on a presentation board some where.  My Dad is till alive and I would like to find out as much information as I can for him.  His name is Leslie Webb from Middlesbrough. Message: I served in Cyprus 1951, based at Karalos Camp near Famagusta and went to the Suez Canal zone in November of that year. We were at El Ballah and later moved to Geniefa. I am interested in hearing from anyone who knew me. Also I am trying to find out the name of the corvette I sailed on to Port Said from Famagusta. A terrible voyage and most of us were sea sick for two days.

Message: My father, Peter Pavey, served in REME when it was first formed in 1942. Trained as an electrician at Northampton Technical Institute. Worked on ACK-ACK guns in Plymouth area in 1943. Was in Italy in 1944, then moved on to Brussels and after hostilities ceased was in Hannover, Germany until demob in 1946. Anyone from his era and units who knew him please contact me and I will pass on contact details to him.

Message: I am looking for a Recce Mech who was with the 4 RHA in Hohne before they went to Hong Kong as the 7 Para RHA. I can not remember his name but I was very friendly with him at the time. I actually stayed with him and his wife in Hong Kong for a holiday. He was forever being called out to recover a prized cannon from the swimming pool in Hohne. Its a shot in the dark (pardon the pun) but I have located people under similar circumstances. I was R Sigs. R and Q with 4 RHA.Great little posting.
