From: Roy (Jock) Scott
Subject: REME LAD. 54 Coy RASC Hildesheim and Minden
Message: Does anyone out there remember me at Hildesheim (Tofrek Bks) or Minden (St Georges Bks) 1955-56 Names I can readily recall are Cptn.Rostron, WO White. Sgt Fleming. Cpl Tresaden. Cpl Campbell. Lt Woods. Cpl Hennesy. Cfn Conway. Cfn Hume etc. I was a VM. but was acting as Rec Mech driving the Scammel at Hildesheim and at Minden, until Chris Hennesy arrived as Rec Mech. It would be great if someone who was in the LAD remembers me (or even if you don't) and get in touch with me to exchange notes, and try to recall these far-off days.

From: Margaret Ann Fahy Thomas
Subject: Longmoor Camp 1948-1962
Message: I am writing about my father and was wondering if you might be able to help as he served in Korea from 1952, though not in the front lines. His name and number
Sergeant Charles Fahy - number 14409290 Royal Engineers and he served in Longmoor Camp from about 1948 until 1962. He operated the 45 ton breakdown crane. During these years he also served in Tabrook, Korea and Egypt. I know  it was in 1952 when he was sent to Egypt and he was there for a year. Also he helped load ships etc for the D Day landings. During 1963 he was based in Marchwood and he was then in The Royal Corps Transport. He left the army in about 1967. Can you please let me know if there are any other sites that I can also list him on that might be of help.
Also, if you have any information whatsoever that might help me in obtaining as much info. on my father's history, I would be ever so grateful. Many thanks.
